My First Birthday Celebration

It's been such a hectic day today. Mummy woke me up very early in the morning to go to church. After that I had to attend Mummy and Daddy's business meeting. It was such a rush as later I learned that I had to be at Grandma and Grandpa's house by 4pm to celebrate my first birthday. When I reached the house, there were many guests around - Grandee's friends. What I like most was the cake and the singing and the photos and of course most of all, the many presents. There were lots of food too - which I was not given much to eat - only Popo gave me a bit - sigh. Anyway, here is a photograph my Grandpa took of me. Pretty?

Christmas Outing

My papa and mama say we celebrate Koko Jesus's birthday today. It's an exhausting day for Mama and I. Papa took Mama and I to visit with my Datuk and Nenek. I feel like a VIP. My Datuk paid a Uncle Doctor 85 Ringgit just to cuddle me today. Hm...... we have a wonderful time bonding with one another.
My gandparents' house is a strange place with strange sound and voices. Stranger still, my bed is in the lounge!
I receive many presents today. My Datuk and Nenek gave me some twust fun thingy. Cheche Ai Ling gave me Pooh outfits. Winnie is my Papa's favourite character! May be someday she will become my favourite too, but right now, my favourite is my Mama. Uncle Keegan got me my first pair of Puma trainers. Yeah, I'm going to workout at the gym soon with my Papa and Mama.
Excuse me! Can you please respect my privacy and modesty while I have my beauty sleep. Will share more of my thoughts when I'm rested.
Merry Christmas.

Having sun of a time

Good morning ewebody...

I felt a little funny last night whenever I cried, there was no aunty nurses to carry me anymore, also there was only the sound of my own crying...hmmm but it doesn't matter because mama was always beside me feeding me, I was contented.

Today is (deep breath) a nice sunny morning, so mama took me to the window side and let me have a sun bath. According to aunty Dr Mary, the sun will be good for me to keep the bilirubin in check. So I did and had a ball of a time. Dosed off too... hee hee...

World hear I come...

Today is a very exciting day for me... in all anticipation I have waited for this day to finally look at this great big mesmerizing world that my mama and papa has brought me into. Aunty Dr Mary said that my level of bilirubin (the stuff that makes me look yellow) in my system has drop significantly enough for me to go home.

Grandma came early this morning with grandpa to visit with me, but poor grandpa can only see me through the glass window as he is afraid that the naughty viruses that make him have fever might fly through the air to attack this "new kid on the block", me. I could tell through his eyes he wanted to have a cuddle with me so badly - "Don't worry grandpa, very soon I can snuggle in your big strong arms".

This is a funny one, as we were waiting for papa to come get us from the hospital, mama was invited to a class to learn how to bath me, and keep me clean; I was sleeping in my little wheel'y' bed and the door was wide open - some aunty nurses walked past my room and alarmed the aunty nurse in charge that I was "infant unattended". So she came running to check to make sure that I was alright, little did she know grandma was sitting on the couch behind the door..."peek-a-boo". Made me want to laugh, hahaha. They think I am tiny and helpless, they don't know that I am a big girl already, I can go home today...

Finally papa came and we drove to my temporary home at my aunty Siew Mei's home, because mama needs popo to take care of her till she is strong and healthy again. Arhhhhh... I am tired, mama has just fed me and I think I can't think anyyyyy mmmo.....zzzzzzzzzz

Glaring blue light

Uncle Doctor says I have jaundice (something about 192 count being acceptable), and although it's an acceptable level for people my age, he wants me to stay another night. They are putting me under this fascinating UV lighting. I hope I don't get too tanned. This means I can't go home yet. The good thing is Mama will be staying with me too. Mama and Papa are looking a little tired and I haven't left the hospital yet. Many nice aunties and uncles have come to pay me a visit. They seem like a jolly lot even though I'm mostly too sleepy to entertain them. With all the lovely pressies and flowers, I feel like a celebrity already. Thank you to all my fans out there.

Here I am

My name is Eliana and I'm God's answer to Papa and Mama's prayers. My Datuk and Nenek are very excited that I'm finally here.

I arrived at the Assunta hospital at 4.55am on 13th Dec 2006. I weigh 3.2kg and measure 49.2cm. The journey was smooth and speedy. Both Mama and I are in good health. Uncle Doctor said Mama can go home tomorrow and if my check up tomorrow gives me a clean bill of health, I can go home with Mama.

My name Eliana is pronounced el-ee-AH-nah. It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "the Lord answers." For my uncles and aunts out there, I know you are going to love me like crazy and I hope to meet up with all of you in person soon.

All these excitement is making me very tired and sleepy. Hope you like these photos that my very cool Nenek took with the digital camera on her high-tech mobile phone. You can be sure there will be more coming this way!
